Las Vegas lawyer indicted on suicide plot drug charge
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A high-profile Las Vegas attorney has been indicted on a felony drug charge in what authorities say was a suicide scheme involving a former Las Vegas police officer and another man already facing murder conspiracy charges.
Nancy Quon is accused in an indictment handed up Wednesday of providing money to her live-in boyfriend, former police Officer William Ronald Webb, and two-time convicted felon Robert Justice, to buy the club drug GHB.
Webb and Justice were indicted in January.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Quon is at the center of a separate federal investigation of homeowner associations in southern Nevada.
Police allege Quon and Webb thought the fatal dose of drugs would be undetectable. Justice tells police that Quon wanted Webb and her family to collect on her life insurance.
