The guys in Florida Georgia Line are trying to take some brief personal breaks to decompress from a monster year in 2013. Tyler Hubbard tells us, “We do little things on our own that kind of give us getaway time, whether it’s work out or ride a motorcycle, or go play basketball, or whatever it is, just to kinda keep our sanity and get away from life for a second." But don't think for a minute that Tyler and Brian Kelley are unhappy about their success. “It’s something that we’ve worked hard for and we wanna be where we’re at," Tyler says. "We love it and it does take a passion for music and a love for what you’re doing to be able to do it, but I think we’re learning how to balance it pretty well.”
Unlike last year, this season's judges on "American Idol" get along. Keith Urban says he felt instantly comfortable with fellow judges Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. “The very first day that J-Lo, Harry and I got on set, it just felt like we’d been doing it a long time,” says Keith. “In theory, it seemed like it was going to work, and for us, it worked perfectly. So, I hope it comes across that way. I’ve never had as much fun as we’re having this season, so that’s a good thing." Season 13 of "AI" premieres tonight (Wednesday, Jan. 15). Changes this year include fewer "bad auditions" and a 30-minute results show, say producers.
"Nashville" returns from its winter hiatus tonight on ABC, with Kelly Clarkson making a guest appearance, playing herself recording the song "Fade Into You,” which was performed
in season one by Gunnar and Scarlett (Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen). Kelly is also recording the song for real, to potentially appear on her upcoming album.
Another country-themed show debuts tonight. Watch "Crazy Hearts: Nashville" at 11:00 PM ET tonight on A&E. It follows aspiring country singers as they balance life, love and their pursuit of stardom. Craig Morgan guests on tonight's premiere. Another episode airs tomorrow. “Crazy Hearts: Nashville” will eventually settle into a Thursday night, 10:00 PM ET time slot on A&E.
Jennifer Nettles released her first solo
