Eric Paslay album due in early 2014

By Stephen L. Betts. CREATED Nov 22, 2013

The new year will get off to a great start for Eric Paslay. On Feb. 4, he'll release his self-titled debut album, according to Music Row.The disc will feature 11 tracks, including "Friday Night," which has been heard during weekly ESPN College Football Friday primetime broadcasts.

On Wednesday (Nov. 20) at a Nashville luncheon, Eric offered a live preview of five songs from the new project, including "Friday Night," "Keep on Fallin'," "Less Than Whole," which he co-wrote with Big Kenny, "Country Side of Heaven," which spotlights guest vocals from Little Big Town, and "Song about a Girl," which "ain't about tailgates, bonfires, water towers, back roads, hometowns or Chevys." (We're guessing it's about a girl.)

Up to the release of his debut CD, Eric has distinguished himself as co-writer of several country hits for others, including "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" for the Eli Young Band, "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" by Jake Owen and Love & Theft's "Angel Eyes." He also co-wrote "Golden," the title track of Lady Antebellum's latest album, with the group.
