ACM Awards performers added: Band Perry to open live show

The ACM Awards telecast is shaping up to be a star-studded event. ACM organizers have announced that the live show, airing on CBS Sunday, April 6, will open with the Band Perry performing an explosive version of their new single, "Chainsaw." Also on tap, a Merle Haggard tribute medley by Miranda Lambert and George Strait, with a special presentation by Garth Brooks.
Other performers will include Florida Georgia Line together with show co-host Luke Bryan. They'll be joined via live remote from the ACM Fan Jam by stars of Nitro Circus. The action sports performers can currently be seen in FGL's "This Is How We Roll" video. Hunter Hayes will take the stage for a special performance of his current hit, "Invisible," in conjunction with the Child Hunger Ends Here campaign.
Previously announced performers at this year's ACM Awards include Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Toby Keith, Justin Moore, Kip Moore, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, and Lady Antebellum with legendary musician Stevie Nicks. Additional acts and presenters will be announced in the coming week.
