Don Guevara joined KTNV in September of 2012. He anchors weekend evening editions of Action News.
Las Vegas is Don's sixth stop in his career. He moved to the Silver State from his hometown Los Angeles. There, he reported for KTLA and ABC News. Before returning home, Don spent six years working in Florida. While at CFN-13 in Orlando, he covered the unprecedented triple hurricane hit of Charley, Francis and Jeanne. Don also reported from the Kennedy Space Center to cover two shuttle launches.
While at WSVN in Miami, Don was one of the first reporters on air to cover the death of Ana Nicole Smith. He traveled nationally and internationally to report on major news events, like the Minneapolis bridge collapse and Hurricane Dean's strike on Mexico.
Don got his start in television as a one-man-band reporter in central Nebraska, chasing tornadoes and covering Friday night high school football.
Don is a graduate of UCLA with a BA in sociology. He loves the outdoors and big animals. He moved here with his dog Luke, a giant 130 pound Saint Bernard.
