Ditch the #WeddingSelfie and embrace a professional "Social Media Wedding Concierge?" Wait... what?
"It's a new service from the W Hotels, which announced on Tuesday its 'Social Media Wedding Concierge' service available at four New York locations," reports Today. "The company pitched the idea to media outlets including The Huffington Post, and tech editor Bianca Bosker tweeted the pitch with the plea: 'please stop.'"
Oh, and the service starts at $3,000.
Available at all four New York W Hotels, the "Social Media Wedding Concierge" is said to be a modern-take on the wedding tradition of "Something Borrowed." "From live tweets and #hashtags to Vine videos and Instagram filters, W's Social Media Wedding Concierge will document the 'I Dos' and encourage guests to utilize a dedicated wedding hashtag for every one of their posts," further notes the tweeted email.
Couples will also receive a personalized Shutterfly book post-Wedding as a digital-to-print keepsake of their "social media highlights."
Interested? This unique, yet absurd, digital wedding concierge service is available now through Dec. 31, 2014.
