Nebraska 2014 ACT scores beat national average
LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) – ACT scores for Nebraska high school graduates last year were better than the national average, according to state education officials.
The Nebraska Department of Education says the average ACT composite score was 21.7, just higher than the national average of 21.0.
It’s also higher than the average for Nebraska students in 2013, which was 21.5.
More graduating seniors across the state, 17,768, took the test last year. That’s up two percent from 2013.
The ACT is a curriculum-based measure of college readiness, testing skills in English, math, reading and science.
