Betty Smith Eskesen, 104, graduated from Tech High School in 1927, Stothert wrote.
The school closed 30 years ago, but not before some well-known students went there: Heisman trophy winner Johnny Rodgers, actor John Beasley, WWII Medal of Honor recipient Brig. Gen. Kenneth Walker, Johnny Rosenblatt, Bob Boozer and more, according to the Omaha Schools Foundation.
Organizers hoped to set a Guinness World Record for the largest high school reunion.
