Omaha, NE -- A man is in custody for terroristic threats and could be questioned regarding the death of Andrea Kruger.
Kruger, a 33-year-old mother of three was found shot to death around 2 a.m. on August 21st near the intersection of 168Th and Fort Streets.
Multiple sources tell KMTV Action 3 News authorities took 26-year-old Nikko Jenkins of Omaha into custody in hopes of interviewing him about several unsolved deaths in Omaha, including the slaying of Andrea Kruger. Jenkins was released from prison on July 30th after serving a nine-year robbery and assault sentence.
Nikko's wife, Chalonda Jenkins says she knows in her heart that her husband wouldn't kill anyone, and he's more focused on family than being on the streets. She says police have been harassing her husband since he was released from prison.
"I really feel like they're targeting my husband because he's a 7-time convicted felon," Chalonda Jenkins explained. "I'm backing my husband up 100% because he would've told me if he did it. He's been doing good, he's been by his family."
Nikko Jenkins' sister, Erica Jenkins, was also taken into custody on Thursday. Her bond was set at $100,000. Nikko Jenkins will face a judge on Tuesday.
