Jenkins Appears In Court On Terroristic Threats

Omaha, NE- An Omaha man with a very long rap sheet appeared in court Tuesday on unrelated charges.

Omaha Police accuse Nikko Jenkins of making terroristic threats toward a woman and her mother last week.

Sheriff Tim Dunning says he is waiting on DNA results to come back before linking Nikko Jenkins to the murder of Andrea Kruger.

In a case that has gripped the city of Omaha and Douglas County, authorities are still trying to find the person who killed Andrea Kruger.

KMTV Action 3 News has confirmed with sheriff, Tim Dunning, that 26-year-old Nikko Jenkins has been named a person of interest in the murder.

Omaha Police arrested Jenkins last Thursday on a case unrelated to the Kruger murder, after a woman said he threatened to kill her and her family.

After his arrest, authorities wanted to question Jenkins about Kruger's murder as well as three others in August.

Jenkins, who was released from prison on July 30th after serving nearly ten years for robbery and assault charges, is charged with terroristic threats.

Jenkins told the court he wants to represent himself because he believes his constitutional rights are being violated. He told the judge there was no threat, just a heated discussion, a relationship quarrel between 2 lovers.

A judge set Jenkins' bond at $500,000. He mother and sister also in court facing charges of tampering with a witness in the case.

Sheriff Dunning says the DNA tests in the Kruger case, could come back as early as this week.
