Omaha, NE - It’s home bound for a family of nine. For nearly three months, the Garcia family has slowly taken each one of their quintuplets home from Methodist Women’s hospital near 190th and Dodge. The final baby was picked up Monday afternoon and the entire family headed home towards Sioux City, IA.
The five were born nearly three months early, after one fetus broke the fluid sac. Bianca Garcia went into labor shortly after and delivered 2 lb. 4 oz. Marah, 1 lb. 15.5 oz. Christobal, 2 lb. 6 oz. Arleth, 2 lb. 3 oz. Jimena and 2 lb. Rosalyn, all delivered by C-section.
Big brothers, 9-year old Jose and 7-year old Abrahan take on extra rolls as they help mom feed and change diapers. Abrahan already has his favorite, the only boy out of the pack, Christobal.
The family didn't plan on having five babies at once and since the pregnancy, the Garcia’s moved into a larger home and bought a larger car. With one income, money is tight so the family has set up a donation fund at any Wells Fargo Bank. When contributing, request the donation goes to the Garcia Family Benefit Donation Fund.
