OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - First responders pulled a body from the Missouri River near Eppley Airfield Wednesday afternoon.

Omaha police are not identifying the person, but did say it hadn't been in the river all that long.

Police were called around 3 p.m. after a recreational boater spotted the body, apparently caught up in trees and debris on the Nebraska side of the Missouri River.

Authorities brought in the airport rescue crews, including Eppley's emergency boat, which is what pulled the body from the river.

Investigators have not said if the body was a man or a woman.

Sunday night, the family of 23-year-old Aung Thu called police when he went missing while swimming near NP Dodge Park, but that search was called off just after midnight.  Thu has not been found.

Investigators said the coroner will identify the body.
