Capitol Lit up Gold for Pediatric Cancer Awareness
Lincoln, NE - The lights at the capitol in Lincoln are a different color Sunday night. They're shining gold for pediatric cancer awareness month.
About 150 people met at the steps for an informal gold walk to support children and families who battle pediatric cancer and to honor those making a difference in Nebraska.
The Nahorny family is just one of many who showed up in support. Six year old Sammy Nahorny was diagnosed with nueroblastoma in June of 2012. He's still fighting it.
The non profit organization Sammy's Superheroes raises funds for pediatric cancer research.
