Omaha, NE -- Scared, shaken and still in shock -- Omaha can't get past what happened to Andrea Kruger.
This weekend, the community started rallying support for the Kruger family the only way they know how.
"We remember M.R. on the sidelines, and we remember Andrea in the stands yelling and cheering for the kids," said Todd Jakopovic, EVW Youth Football League President. "(They're) an incredible family."
On Saturday, the EVW youth football family was missing one of their own.
The flags flew at half-staff, and donation bins were out to honor Andrea.
"We have always felt that once you're a part of our program, you're always a part of our program," said Jakopovic. "It's a family."
For seven years, Andrea's husband, Michael-Ryan, played a vital role with the league. He coached and served on the board of directors.
"We have reached out to our program members and asked them to take donations to give to the family in this time of need," said Jakopovic.
EVW isn't alone in their efforts to support the Kruger family. An entire community has stepped forward.
The Cove and Déjà Vu Lounge, where Andrea bar tended the night she was killed, are also collecting money for her family.
"Her devotion to her kids -- that's all she talked about," said Jimmy Goldfaden, a friend of Andrea's. "Every time I came in, she would show me her phone and show me pictures of the kids."
Even online, an outpouring of support is nothing short of amazing.
The memorial Facebook page for Andrea, created just two days ago, already has over 32,000 likes.
Friends of the Kruger family say complete strangers have volunteered to make meals for the Kruger's through October.
"I know we're doing well for the family and doing everything we can to help them," said Jakopovic.
Another fundraiser is underway. It's called 'Give Forward.'
EFW will be collecting donations until 6 p.m. on Sunday. If you prefer to mail a donation, the address is:
