Fremont, NE - A crash just before 10 p.m. Monday night claimed the lives of three 16-year-old boys in Fremont. Jackson Blick, Tyler Walling and Trey Hansen died when the car Blick was driving flipped.

A fourth teen, Jake Burnside, survived the crash and remains in critical condition at Alegent Creighton.

The Burnside family issued this statement:

Our family would like to thank the Fremont Community for its thoughts and prayers. Please keep the families of Jackson Blick, Trey Hansen and Tyler Walling in your thoughts and prayers.

Jake remains in critical condition but we're seeing some very positive signs. He's in a medically-induced coma and is in surgery at this time to address a vertebrae-spinal cord issue. Jake has a tough road ahead but we remain very optimistic.

The Burnside family is proud to be part of the caring, loving community of Fremont.
