Omaha, NE - Barricades are up at North 30th and State Streets. City crews fear more of the damaged building could collapse.
The mess all caused by our May snow. Omaha Public Works tells Action 3 News an MUD employee was driving by the area around 6 a.m. Thursday and noticed a wall had caved in.
By 9 o'clock, the entire roof collapsed, spilling onto the road. Public works crews set up barricades and closed the northbound lane on 30th Street while OPPD and MUD worked quickly to shut off gas, water and power.
The building is 95 years old and is the former Florence Drug Store.
The building is vacant and up for sale. No one was inside when it came down and no injuries have been reported.
