A short movie is making big headlines.
"Selfie" just premiered at the star-studded Sundance Film Festival. It features real mothers and teen daughters revealing how they really feel about their looks.
Dove created the selfie psychology in a seven-minute documentary, bringing moms and daughters together to see first-hand how insecurities often lie beneath those beautiful snap-shots.
The documentary also encourages moms to address their vulnerabilities too.
Dove, which has launched several "real beauty" campaigns in the past, said it hopes "Selfie" starts a positive conversation between mothers and daughters and that it will empower women everywhere to see beyond their flaws.
As for the girls in the film, they said it worked. They displayed their selfies at a photo exhibit for everyone to critique.
