Beyonce´ fans just got an early Christmas present. The superstar singer surprised everyone by releasing a new album exclusively on iTunes overnight, and fans scrambling to buy it temporarily crashed iTunes.

Billboard reports the album -- the singer's fifth -- went on sale just before midnight last night. The self-titled set is being described as an "exclusive visual album," with an accompanying video for every track also available on iTunes. The 14-song set is her first since 2011's "4."
Tracks include "Drunk In Love" (with husband Jay Z), "Mine" (featuring Drake), "Superpower" (with Frank Ocean) and "Blue," a song with her toddler daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. "Grown Woman," a promotional cut that Beyonce' performed during her Mrs. Carter world tour this year, appears as a bonus video, but did not make the album's track list, Billboard reports.
Meanwhile, Gizmodo reports that fans' eagerness to download the album managed to temporarily crash iTunes overnight.
In a Facebook video announcing the release, Beyonce' told fans, "I see music. It’s more than just what I hear. When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they’re all connected to the music.”
According to Billboard, iTunes is expected to have a week-long exclusive on the album, before a full retail release tentatively set for December 21.
