PALM DESERT - It was 45 minutes of fear for one local mother after accidentally locking her keys in her car - along with her one-year-old child.
The unidentified mother had left the vehicle and taken the child's stroller from the car's trunk when she noticed all the doors had closed and locked... with her keys and child inside.
Police and fire units tried to open the vehicle using conventional methods, but the hero of the day turned out to be a tow truck driver. The driver used a"a small flexible bar to trip the front door locks, allowing the mother to quickly get her child from the rear seats.
No injuries to the child, or mom, were reported.
