Heading Towards a Record Streak of 100 Degree Days

Boise topped 100 degrees for the seventh consecutive day at 104º yesterday, just one degree shy of the record. Hitting nine in a row will tie a record hot streak that has only been experienced two other times in Boise since the late 1800s, which we are forecasted to do as we top 100º both today and tomorrow.

Today will be just as hot and sunny as yesterday across the region, with an expected high of 102º in Boise and 91º in McCall. The temperatures will start cooling off on Indepedence day thanks to cloud cover moving in, dropping our expected high to 100º in Boise. We will continue to cool as we head into the start of next week thanks to the clouds and threat of thunderstorms, and we will be back down in the mid 90s by Wednesday.
