A Taste of Autumn

Thanks to a cold front that moved through on Saturday, temperatures on Sunday will be much cooler all across the region. High temperatures in the Treasure Valley will only reach the upper 70s on Sunday afternoon while the Long Valley can expect highs in the low 60s. A few rain showers are possible in the west-central mountains, and as far south as Ontario, Weiser, and Vale, but the upper Treasure Valley (Boise, Meridian, Caldwell) should stay dry. Temperatures will moderate somewhat on Monday, back into the low 80s for the Treasure Valley. Mostly sunny skies are expected across the region to start the work week.

A short-lived ridge will bring highs in the 80s midweek for the Treasure Valley. It should be a pleasant couple of days with a fair mix of clouds and sunshine. Another cold front will swing through sometime Wednesday bringing cooler conditions for the latter half of the week.

Highs on Thursday will only reach the low 70s across the Treasure Valley. The same can be said for Friday and Saturday as well. Skies will go from mostly cloudy on Thursday, to partly cloudy on Friday, to sunny on Saturday. Perhaps this is our first taste of Autumn across southwest Idaho and eastern Oregon.
