Threat of Storms Returns

Cloudy skies will persist overnight and we could wake up to a few sprinkles during this morning's commute. Clouds will hang around the valley through the afternoon, keeping the lingering chance of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. The chances of showers in the mountains increases as the day goes on. Boise's clouds will be more broken and thinner than yesterday allowing our temperatures to warm up just a little more, seeing a high of 92º today.

Tuesday and Wednesday will both be drier, so I expect mostly sunny skies on both days with highs in the mid 90s once again across the Treasure Valley.

Moisture will move back into the region starting on Wednesday night. This will bring a return to muggy conditions, widespread cloudiness, and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, primarily in the mountains. Some storms could make it into the Treasure Valley Thursday through Sunday. High temperatures will climb into the low to mid 90s through the end of the week.
