Country superstar Garth Brooks has announced a network television special.

Brooks, who is coming to the end of a three-year-residency at Wynn Las Vegas, will broadcast his final show there at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Nov. 29. The special will be shown on CBS.

The special will be titled "Garth Brooks: Live in Las Vegas."

The critically-acclaimed show has been played to sold-out audiences since it opened.

According to Broadway World, the television performance will feature Brooks in an intimate setting, playing his guitar as he guides the audience along the road that led him to become the number one selling solo artist in U.S. history.

Brooks began performing at the Wynn in 2009.

Brooks is just one of several big names that has begun performing in Las Vegas in recent years. Elton John, Shania Twain and Celine Dion perform at Caesars Palace's The Colosseum.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill perform at The Venetian.

Britney Spears will begin performing at Planet Hollywood in December. It has also been rumored that the singer Adele may be the next big Strip performer.

It is not known what Brooks will do after his residency is done at the Wynn but rumors have been circulating for quite some time that he might go on tour.

The speculation began last year with Steve Wynn stated in an interview that Brooks was "itching to get started" on a tour.
