Joe Southwick and Shane Williams-Rhodes stole the headlines after Boise State's win over Utah State, but they weren't the only Broncos to set personal bests in Logan.
Kicker Dan Goodale connected on two field goals, including the longest of his career (39 yards). The red shirt junior has hit eight of nine attempts this season.
"That's how we like it around here, our field goal kickers have quietly nice seasons," laughed head coach Chris Petersen. "The only reason they have a loud season is if it's not good. He's been doing exactly what we need him to do."
Goodale also chipped in six touchbacks Saturday, giving him 22 this year, the most any from a BSU kicker since 2004.
According to Petersen, nobody outworked Dan over the summer, and Goodale's perserverance is starting to pay off.
"His kick-offs have been spectular. I said all along the guy has the makings of a really fine kicker," said Petersen.
