April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, a month focused on educating people about the startling number of children abused in this country, and helping empower adults to help put a stop to it. To highlight the cause, and to raise proceeds to help children right here in the Gem State, local foundation Protect Idaho Kids is hosting a luncheon and fashion show on Saturday, April 5th at Cottonwood Grille in Boise.
Founder Bruce Wingate joined Good Morning Idaho to share his passion for why he started Protect Idaho Kids, and to talk about the upcoming event. Proceeds from it go directly toward helping keep kids safe right here where we live.
The fashion show starts at 12pm on Saturday, with lunch served by Cottonwood (so you know it will be delicious!) and fun spring fashions from Dillard's on the runway. Boise's own Mrs. World 2013, Kaley Sparling, will be one of the runway models, and Rachel Garceau from Good Morning Idaho is co-hosting!
