TRAFFIC ALERT: Overnight closures on Eagle Road
The Idaho Transportation Department is warning drivers starting on Wednesday and Thursday (August 20 and 21st) that traffic signal poles are being replaced on Eagle Road and E. St. Luke’s Road overnight.
Flaggers will be directing traffic from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for both nights. Traffic will be restricted to one lane at various times overnight.
Over the next month, new traffic signal heads also will be installed on Eagle Road at the intersections of Franklin Road and Interstate 84.
Eagle Road will be reduced to 40 mph at night while crews are working, and nighttime lane restrictions in the construction zone will continue through mid-September. ITD asks motorists to please slow down, pay attention and plan extra time for delays.
The work is part of the improvements that ITD is constructing this summer on Eagle Road between Franklin Road and I-84. The project includes building a third southbound lane and adding sidewalk, curb and gutter on the west side of Eagle Road from Franklin to I-84.
