Aimee Cox, her twin sister, and her daughter Elizabeth are all suffering from terminal illnesses.
Amongst the health bills and trips to the hospital, the Cox family is excited to finally have something to look forward to.
Thanks to the Wish Granters of Idaho, Aimee and her family will be spending the next two weeks with Aimee’s twin sister’s family in Georgia.
“I don't see my end-of-life awesome wish to be on a cruise when my twin sister means the world to me; I couldn't at least not see her before….the end,” Aimee said.
Aimee says her sister is like “her other half” and couldn’t bear to leave this world without seeing her and her family.
Doug Raber and The Wish Granters have spent the last three weeks organizing flights and activities for the entire family.
“I’m excited!” Aimee said. “I want to go to the aquarium. My life's ambition is to go to every single zoo in the entire world.”
Aimee will get to go to the Atlanta Zoo and the aquarium with her family, and also hopes to make a stop at Paula Dean’s restaurant in Savannah.
“Somehow, someway I want to make it work and hopefully meet her... that would be awesome!” Aimee said.
They plan to make stops to see other family members in Tennessee and Alabama as well.
