Playing with poop may seem far-fetched as an idea to make money. However, one Nampa company is turning brown into green after a short stint of promoting their product at the Super Bowl.

Ben Bieri, Glen Vander Woude and Scott Den Hartog who were all college friends who started an all natural dairy compost company one year ago called Poop All Natural Dairy Compost.

Unlike a typical fertilizer, poop doesn’t stink as much as you would believe and won’t burn your plants. The poop is gathered into piles and then an ageing process turns the poop into valuable nutrients.

The poop is then cooked at 170 degrees during the summer for three to six months depending on weather.
The compost is then dumped into a sifter and then is ready for bagging.

The whole operation takes place on a small farm in Nampa, and thanks to the internet, the company went viral.

The company competed in a national campaign for a commercial slot at the Super Bowl which brought all three friends to New York when they were selected as finalist.

Although the company didn’t win, a commercial was made and distributed across the internet resulting in a whole new market base.
