Man pleads not guilty in Meridian assaults
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- A 23-year-old man charged in an apparent drug-fueled rampage that left two men hospitalized and others injured has pleaded not guilty to numerous charges filed after the crime spree in Meridian on Aug. 21.
The Idaho Press-Tribune reports Sean Daniel Carnell pleaded not guilty to all charges Tuesday in 4th District Court in Ada County.
Carnell is suspected of attacking a 15-year-old boy and taking his skateboard, using the skateboard to assault a Nampa fireman, kicking a little boy's dog and trying to set fire in his apartment. Prosecutors say he also beat a construction worker with a shovel, broke into an apartment and attacked a neighbor and tipped over a man in a wheelchair.
Carnell's trial is set for April 21.
Carnell sent an email to the Idaho Statesman saying he was sorry and ashamed.
