Idaho carjacking suspect escapes arrest in Montana

Nampa Police have received information that Rodney Seiber, the man involved in a carjacking on Caldwell Boulevard on September 18th, was last seen in Harden, Montana.

Undersheriff Mike Fuss of the Big Horn County Sheriff's Department reported that Seiber, 35, of Nampa, and his girlfriend, Brittany Robbins, 18, of Caldwell, were confronted after deputies responded to a trespassing call on Monday morning at a local Harden motel/hotel.

Robbins was arrested for trespassing and obstructing officers.

Sieber was last seen jumping out of a window at the hotel and running from deputies. 

Brittany Robbins provided authorities with her identification and admitted that she and Seiber were running from Idaho authorities.

An extensive search for Seiber in the Harden, Montana area has been called off as of this morning.  

Seiber is 6’3” and 170 lbs with blue eyes and brown hair.  He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.  Seiber has several noticeable tattoos:  “Seiber” on the back of his neck, the name “Jessica” on the left side of his neck, the name “Shyanne” on the right side of his neck, and a scorpion on his throat.

Seiber is considered armed and extremely dangerous. Seiber will go to any length to avoid capture by police.  Seiber is also being sought by Caldwell Police and Ada County Sheriff’s.

Anyone who sees Seiber is asked to dial 911. Anyone with information as to the location of Seiber is asked to call Nampa Police at 465-2257.
