Reading combined with science was the perfect formula for the Treasure Valley’s Fizz, Boom, and Read program.
Each week about 450 kids take part in the summer program that Idaho On Your Side sponsors.
Today was the last day of the seven-week program with a free pancake breakfast at the library in Kuna. Several libraries participated in the program with various activities to keep kids focused on fun and learning.
Kuna Library Director Anne Hankins said, “Different speakers come during the summer and it keeps them busy and keeps them reading. Our goal is to keep kids reading, whatever they like to read, and a place to encourage those activities.”
