Common Core, school levies, and teacher pay were all on the radar for the GOP State Superintendent candidates at a forum hosted by the City Club today.
Andy Grover, Sherri Ybarra, Randy Jensen, and John Enyon were all on hand to tackle these issues.
The four candidates laid out there platforms and addressed many other issues.
Kevin Richert, with Idaho Education News, says this debate was very important.
In this debate, all of the questions were submitted anonymously from the audience.
“I think it's a good chance to hear these candidates and where they differ,” Richert said. “There are some differences in opinion about Common Core, about the standards, and about where we go in terms of implementing the task force recommendations. So I think it's a good chance for this audience to see where these candidates differ, where they might agree, and where they disagree."
This is the second debate featuring the candidates for state superintendent. Ybarra, Grover, and Jensen were a part of the first debate held by Idaho On Your Side.
