Boys smash school window "to get a drink of water"
The Ada County Sheriff’s Office is considering pressing charges after two boys broke a window with a rock at Lake Hazel Middle School.
The boys, 11 and 12, used a rock to smash a classroom window and went inside the school before 10 p.m. Tuesday.
A motion alarm was activated after they went inside and the boys fled on foot. Deputies found the duo a short distance away from the school on bikes.
The boys admitted to police that they did the vandalism to get a drink of water.
The boys were released to their parents and now police are considering charging the boys with misdemeanor malicious injury to property and unlawful entry.
