A professor at Idaho State University in Pocatello is recovering after accidently shooting himself in the foot while in the middle of class on Tuesday.
This is the first gun-related accident at an Idaho university since the Legislature allowed guns on campus starting in July. Pocatello police are investigating, but are not releasing much information right now. There is no word on why the teacher had a gun in the first place, but students say the teacher was not fiddling or playing with it when it went off.
It leaves those who opposed the law worried that this happened only weeks after fall classes began.
