Craters of the Moon now open, National Park Week April 21-29
The scenic 7-mile loop road at Craters of the Moon National Monument, located about halfway between Arco and Carey off of Highway 20/26/93, is now clear of snow and open to automobile travel.
The campground and most trails are also open. Currently only Dew Drop and Indian Tunnel caves are accessible due to snow cover and hazardous slick conditions in the other caves. Spring storms may temporarily close the road, so visitors are advised to check their website at: http://www.nps.gov/crmo or call for current conditions (208)527-1335.
National Park Week is April 21-29.
