Sometimes the winds just aren't in your favor, whether it be sports or politics. Maybe it was the wind then that gave Alabama kicker Cade Foster (#43) some issues during his three missed field goals in the Iron Bowl game against Auburn.
It led Alabama to pull Foster and put in the redshirt freshman with a second on the clock. He would go on to miss the attempt which gave Auburn their viral 109-yard winning touchdown and eventually an SEC Championship.
Despite horrible backlash from fans on social media, Foster did get one encouraging letter from someone who shares the same number, 43.
Former President George W. Bush send the kicker a note, on official letter head, saying:
"Dear Cade (#43), Life has its setbacks. I know! However you will be a stronger human with time. I wish you all the best – Sincerely – another 43 George Bush.”
Foster posted the photo to his Instagram account with the caption "Framing this".
