Australian Shaun Harrington, 27, heard a rumor around town that there was a six-to-eight-foot tiger shark in Coolangatta, Queensland, so he grabbed a birdcage and headed for the ocean.
While shooting a dare video for TheMadHues.com, Harrington jumped in the water with only half of his torso hidden beneath the thinly-wired cage.
As if the shark could sense his stupidity, Harrington no sooner yelled, "Feel me rage, I'm in the cage!" before the shark appeared beside him.
Harrington ended up throwing the birdcage at the shark, before seizing a spare second to jump back aboard the same boat he'd jumped off moments before.
