HBO's 'Game of Thrones' renewed for two more seasons
It's good news for "Game of Thrones" fans. HBO has renewed the popular show for two more seasons.
The fourth season debuted on Sunday, and more than six million people were watching.
HBO president of programming Michael Lombardo called the show "a phenomenon like no other."
But don't expect the show to go on forever. The creators say they don't think they will do more than seven or eight seasons.
Creator David Benioff told Entertainment Weekly that the current season four felt like a midpoint for them.
The series' creators also told New York Daily News that the new season may make the "Red Wedding" look like sunny, beach-side nuptials and fans should prepare for death, death and more death.
The show is based on the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series by author George R.R. Martin.
