Arizona commit Johnson scores 24 in Jordan Brand Classic
Tucson (KGUN9-TV)- Arizona basketball commit Stanley Johnson continues to impress before he even gets to Tucson. Johnson finished the Jordan Brand Classic with 24 pts on 10-of-18 shooting, including 3 of 5 from the 3-pt line.
Johnson, who is listed as a small forward, could possibly be in the starting lineup next season for the Wildcats. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him play at the shooting guard position. The Mater Dei senior played almost every position in high school.
Besides his offensive skills, Johnson is also known for his tough defense.
Johnson led Mater Dei to a 35-0 record, to CIF section and state championships and was a major reason -- or the major reason -- Mater Dei was named MaxPreps.com's national champion.
