TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Today marked another big milestone for the Tucson Modern Streetcar.
The fourth car arrived at 4:30 a.m., which means the testing process will continue.
Crews delivered the streetcar to the Tucson Operations and Maintenance Facility.
The goal is not only to get motorists, cyclists and pedestrians familiar with the streetcar, but for streetcar operators to become familiar with Tucson traffic.
Keep in mind, this is still only a testing phase of the $197 million project.
Public patience is needed, officials say, as issues continue to be ironed out and operators become increasingly familiar with the system.
This is the fourth of eight total cars and the next is scheduled to arrive in March.
Officials estimate the streetcar to be in full operation by this summer.
