SIERRA VISTA (KGUN9-TV)- Community Response Team detectives arrested six people in Sierra Vista Wednesday, after they received a tip that marijuana was being shipped from a home.

Investigators began surveillance of a house to follow up on a tip. Detectives followed a vehicle from the house to a Sierra Vista post office Tuesday, because they believed the three people in the car were shipping marijuana.

They discovered 1.63 pounds of marijuana inside the package. They then found four bundles of marijuana when they searched inside the home, as well as multiple items consistent with packaging the drug.

Demetrium Swann Gladney, 20, James Benjamin Pierce Jr., 36, and Daniel Joseph Mays, 33, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and transport of marijuana for sale. They were booked into the Cochise County Jail and are being held on a $10,000 bond.

Detectives also arrested 19-year-old Anthony Miguel Stark, 20-year-old Corrina Danae Jones and 20-year-old Jovane Shaquille Mitchell, who were in the house when the drugs were found.

Officials also located Corrina Jones' 13-month-old child sleeping next to a knife in the master bedroom of the home. Child Protective Services took the child and Johns was also charged with child abuse.
