UPDATE: Deputies investigating home invasion on northside
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Emergency medical personnel transported one man to the hospital following a home invasion on Tucson's northside.
Deputy Tracy Suitt with the Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN9 that deputies are on the scene in the 3000 block of West Coriander Drive, near River Road and Orange Grove Road.
Someone called 9-1-1 at around 10:30 a.m., Friday morning, according to Suitt.
When deputies arrived on scene they found a man with obvious signs of trauma to his leg. He was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.
Deputies are now searching the area for possible suspects, but have been unable to locate anyone at this time.
Deputies locked down Hendricks Elementary School for a brief period of time during the immediate search for suspects. The lockdown has since been lifted.
Deputies continue to search the area. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
