TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) -- Pinal County deputies are looking for three men who brutally attacked a woman in Oracle. It happened early Sunday morning. Sheriff Paul Babeu calls the crime extreme -- a brazen attack. One that worries him. He told KGUN9 that the men likely did this before and it likely won't be the last unless they 're stopped.
At 2 in the morning, the 34 year old woman walked out on her porch to smoke a cigarette. "All of a sudden she's abducted by two men and she's actively fighting as she reports to us," said Sheriff Babeu.
The victim said the men dragged her to a black pickup truck driven by a third man. She was thrown into the bed of the pickup truck, held down, and then driven to a remote area of the desert miles from her home.
"She reports that all three of them brutally assaulted and raped her," said Sheriff Babeu. And then she was left in the desert. The victim walked -- half clothed -- until she got help from a jogger, who contaced the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Babeu says the victim could have known her attackers. "Or she may have met them at some other point or they're aware of her by tracking her schedule to know that she comes out of that porch at a specific time," he said.
News quickly spread around the small community. Resident Marti Stonecipher said, "It's horribly tragic and very scary for the whole community. There's just the fear factor. And what changes we can make in our daily lives so this doesn't happen again and what can we do to help find these people."

Sheriff Babeu said often attackers brag about their crimes and he's hoping family or friends come forward to identify the men. The woman received severe injuries. Sheriff Babeu would not give her condition, but said she is under medical care and they are continuing to talk to her about the case.
