NW side shooting leaves man in serious condition
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A shooting on the Northwest side early Wednesday morning has left a 26-year-old man hospitalized in serious condition.
Pima County sheriff's deputy spokesman Tracy Suitt said the incident occurred in the 5000 block of North Shannon Road at 1 a.m. A 26-year-old man was shot in the face at a residence by his 46-year-old mother's 50-year-old boyfriend. Both men and the woman live at the home, Suitt said.
The mother and her boyfriend had locked the son out of the house, and he pounded on the door until the 50-year-old opened the door, starting a confrontation that led to the shooting.
Suitt said deputies are investigating the shooting as a possible self-defense situation and there may not be an arrest.
