Motorcyclist dies after collision with vehicle

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Patrick Donaldson, 31, has died as a result of his injuries following a motorcycle collision on Saturday night.

Capt. Adam Goldberg with Northwest Fire District tells KGUN9 that crews responded to Cortaro Road at Cerius Stavenue, near Cortaro and Interstate 10.

When crews arrived on scene, they found a motorcyclist had collided with a passenger car.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and sustained critical, life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision, said Goldberg.

The car involved in the incident was driven by a 71-year-old female who had minor injuries.

The motorcyclist was transported by to UAMC for care but he succumbed to his injuries Monday morning, said Goldberg.

Northwest Fire District urges all motorcyclists, bicyclist, scooter riders and skateboarders to wear a helmet at all times.
