Minor injuries in plane crash on Lake Havasu
LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say two people suffered minor injuries after a small airplane crashed into Lake Havasu.
The Today's News-Herald reports that the private C-plane crashed Friday afternoon outside of Lake Havasu State Park, but the two people onboard declined treatment.
Lake Havasu Fire Department officials say the crash was reported just before 3 p.m. and a boater picked up the passengers.
The unidentified passengers left the area in private vehicles after refusing to be taken to a hospital.
Battalion Chief Jasen Stello says a fire department boat made sure there was no oil leak from the aircraft.
The Mohave County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
Boats from the sheriff's office spent more than three hours pulling the plane to shore.
