TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Each year in February, several vendors come together in Tucson for the world's largest "Gem Show."

The "Gem Show" is much more than a single event at one location. Thousands of participants and attendees gather at more than 40 sites around town. Dozens of shows take place at the same time in giant white tents, at hotels and resorts and at exhibit halls.

There's something for everyone at the many open-to-the-public shows - from gold and diamonds to granite bookends and glass beads, and from fine specimens of dinosaur fossils.

The Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase runs from February runs from February 1 to 16. This event takes place at the Tucson Convention Center.

The 60th Annual Tucson Gem and Mineral Show runs from February 13 to 16 and is entitled "60 Years of Diamonds, Gems, Silver and Gold."

The City of Tucson's Parkwise is providing a GemRide to help ease traffic congestion.  This is a free and easy shuttle service with access to all of the downtown shows.
