TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The winner of the 107-mile El Tour de Tucson race was Juan Magallanes, from Hermosillo, Sonora. He finished with a race time of 4:13:54.

Michael Sayers, a former Tucson resident, came in second place with a time of 4:21.

Cyclists had to weather the elements all morning, which included non-stop rain and temps in the 40's and 50's.

Law enforcement closed the Sabino Creek during the race because of high water, leave about 500 cyclists stuck until the water receded.

All the local fire agencies responded to several calls of hypothermia, said Capt. Adam Goldberg with Northwest Fire District.

Numerous blankets were requested at first aid stations along the race route, said Capt. Barrett Baker with Tucson Fire.
