TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A man and a woman have been arrested after deputies discovered they were using their eastside home as a marijuana grow house.

Pima County deputies responded to a home in the 12,600 block of east Horsehead Road around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday to serve warrants on two people, according to Deputy Courtney Rodriguez with the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

The home sits within a gated community.

Once inside the home, deputies discovered an extensive marijuana grow operation, Rodriguez said.

"Obviously, when they came in there and saw that more had to be done, especially with the significance of that amount that was located," Rodriquez told 9OYS.

A total of 117 marijuana plants were processed, along with several bags of aleady harvested marijuana, guns, two vehicles and cash.

The people living in the home, 24-year-old Jennifer Parcelluzzi and 26-year-old Zachary Morales were arrested on the warrants and charged with child abuse for having a two-week-old child in the home and exposed to the drugs, according to Rodriguez.

Additional charges are pending and the investigation is on-going.
