Border Patrol honors vets for Valentine's Day, Veteran Patients Week

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Sector Border Patrol honored veterans of the Veteran's hospital in Tucson last week.
Chief Patrol Agent Manuel Padilla, Jr.,and other agents, visited the veterans to thank them for their service in honor of National Salute to Veteran Patients Week.
"Veterans make up a significant portion of the Border Patrol's workforce," Padilla said. "We honor and appreciate our veterans in a variety of ways, including preference when hiring."
Padilla and the rest of the Border Patrol visitors also passed out Valentine's Day cards to the patients to further express their gratitude.
Tucson Sector Border Patrol works closely with the law enforcement, local businesses, and area citizens to help improve the local community, and constantly look for ways to get involved.
