Body found in Colorado River
PHOENIX (AP) - Grand Canyon National Park officials say a body has been found in the Colorado River.
Authorities say people on a commercial rafting trip reported seeing the body Friday morning. It was recovered a short time later.
The identity of the victim had not yet been confirmed. The body was found about 25 miles from where a Phoenix man fell into the Colorado River while on a rafting trip in Grand Canyon National Park on June 27.
Authorities announced earlier this week they were scaling back their search for 68-year-old Victor Tseng after turning up no clues about his whereabouts.
Tseng reportedly fell from a ledge into the river and wasn't wearing a life jacket.
Flyers with Tseng's picture and description remain posted at river trip launch areas and takeout points.
