Retailers target unlikely Black Friday shoppers

TUCSON(KGUN9-TV) - Black Friday is considered the biggest shopping day of the year. This year, the bigwigs have busted out their Black Friday bargains even earlier.

Retailers across the board are catering  to online shoppers. In fact, most big box stores are offering the same deals online and in stores.

"That actually makes is easier for every consumer to get the deals that they want by shopping at home," Target's Ethan Willinger told 9OYS.

Best Buy, Walmart and Target have already released their Black Friday ads, for preview, online. The stores are also price matching. The only hitch? Retailers says exclusive Black Friday deals and "door busters" do not count.

Simply put, shoppers can not ad match on Black Friday.

"So, obviously nowadays everyone has their smart-phones, their tablets, their computers, bring your phone in [and] show us the website. We can go online and verify on our computers," Best Buy's Andrew Dieghan said.

In an attempt to compete with mega online retailers, like Amazon, Best Buy is offering free online shipping while Walmart just unveiled their "Pre-Black Friday" event with a list of online-only specials.

According to the National Retail Federation, consumers are expected to spend 3.9 percent more this year than in 2012.
